CONSTRUCTION OF THE WESTERN BANK OF THE TAIWAN STRAIT ECONOMIC REGION(WTER) AND THE NEW PATTERN OF ECONOMIC REGION IN CHINA
研究了福建提出的海峡西岸经济区建设，该区域位于长三角和珠三角之间，面临被边缘化的风险，需通过交通、产业等发展避免被边缘化，并最终促进两岸经济与政治融合。
In order to avoid peripherization,the Fujian government had put forward a project to construct the Western Bank of the Taiwan Strait Economic Region(WTER for short).Mainly composed of Fujian,the WTER is a new zone of economic growth which includes parts of Guangdong,Zhejiang and Jiangxi.Located between the Yangtze River Delta and the Zhu River Delta,the WTER can be carried or cut out by the development of these two regions.So,it will be a complicated and tough process to construct the WTER.In history,the status of Fujian and peripheral region had: pool transportation,low educational level of cities,narrowness of economic region,straggling structure of industry.We need to develop the transportation with neighboring provinces in the big way,enlarge the economic region,expand the central city,and advance the industrial structure,finally making the development of the WTER to the development of Taiwan Strait Economic Region by the participation of both two sides of the Taiwan Strait.Starting with the incorporation of two sides of the Taiwan Strait,strengthen relationship between the two sides,finally we can approach the political reunion of the two sides.
