探讨福建海商在历史地理环境影响下的兴衰过程，分析其从宋元时期繁荣到近代衰落的原因，适合研究中国贸易史和区域经济的学者参考。
Due to the special historical and geographical environments, the trade in Fujian, stemming from the traditional agriculture economy of China, had been kept in close contact with oversea. After the dynasty of Song and Yuan, the development of foreign trade was more swift and violent, and arose a lot, even the groups of sea merchants, becoming the important mark of the flourishing of the sea business culture. Since the modern times, the sea merchants of Fujian were on the wane because the home and abroad environments changing, but their influences have been living.
