THE CAUSES AND CONSEQUENCES OF INTRODUCTION OF NUCLEAR POWER AND NATURAL GAS INTO THE ELECTRICITY SECTOR OF HONG KONG
分析了香港在1994年和1996年分别引入核电和天然气发电的原因及对电力部门的影响,适合关注能源转型和区域能源经济的读者。
Hong Kong does not produce any energy, all the energy it consumes every year has to be imported. Given that Hong Kong is basically a large motrepolis, electricity has always played a dominant role in its energy economy. Since the Second World War, electricity generation has accounted for more than half of total energy consumption each year. In recent years, electricity sales dominate energy sales, making up 56% of energy outlay in 1996. In 1994, Hong Kong started using nuclear power imported from the Daya Bay Nuclear Plant. In 1996, natural gas from the Ya-13 offshore gas filed was imported into Hong Kong for electricity generation. This article analyses the cause and consequences of the introducetion of nuclear power and natural gas into the Hong Kong power sector.
