Abstract

The fast development of road infrastructure is one of the most important characteristics in the process of Chinese central regional urbanization.This article tries an empirical research on the contribution of road infrastructure to the central regional urbanization.We find that:(1) The road infrastructure produces a significant and positive effect,and takes the regional urbanization into a spatial structure of Local convergence but General differentiation.(2) High-class road,especially the Highway,made the highest contribution to the urbanization,and the lower class road made a ambiguous contribution.The central regional urbanization appears a remarkable High-class road preference.
