VISUALIZATION OF ATTRIBUTE INFORMATION AND ANALYSIS VALIDITY IN GIS
研究了GIS专题地图在表达属性信息时面积与信息量不匹配的问题，发现面积变形图比专题地图能更有效地表达属性信息数量。
GIS thematic maps is the major form of visualization of attribute information,but there is a defect that there is a certain gap between the size of area and amount of attributes information,and impact the visual of staff to read the map.Area cartogram transformate the shape of the region of space,and express the size of the attribute information with a certain ratio of the number of relations within the region mapped to attribute information.Through the survey analysis,area cartogram have the better effective in expression the number of information than thematic maps.
