For years plenty of farmland is occupied in the regions between cities and countryside under the influence of regional conditions, differential land benefit and urban economic radiation. Especially in recent 10 years, market-oriented economy has led to faster and irreversible farmland loss, which makes man-land contradiction sharper and sharper. Based on the present situation, the author analyzes the farmland loss mechanism and puts forward countermeasures including regulations and laws to protect the farmland in the region between cities and countryside.
