Abstract

By OD time cost of road network obtained by network analyst function of GIS,the distance parameter of gravity model is modified and the intensity of economic linkage between every two cities are measured and compared in 1997 and 2007 in Henan Province.And then,the hausdorff dimension of urban economic linkage quantity and intensity of each city between other cities is calculated based on the fractal theory,the fractal characteristics and the spatial structure of economic linkage are analyzed deeply.Results show that:(1) the disparity of the quantity of every city's economic linkage is large and the hierarchical feature is remarkable,the十shaped axes along the highway from Beijing to Hong Kong and the highway from Lianyungang to Khorgos is the most important linkage corridor in Henan and the linkage network is forming and strengthening gradually;(2) The rank-size distribution of economic linkage intensity between Zhengzhou and other cities has been trending to ideal distribution of rank-size,the linkage intensity rank-size distribution of majority cities had been changing from the distribution of first-degree to rank-size.Though the exploration of spatial structure and fractal characteristics of economic linkage among central cities,the main directions of economic linkage are identified,which is not only in favor of finding the main spatial axes for regional economic development,but also in favor of coordinating the linkage and cooperation among cities in Henan province.
