TURNING COUNTY INTO DISTRICT IN THE PROCESS OF SPEEDING URBANIZATION:ACTIVE ADAPTION AND PASSIVE ADJUSTMENT
研究了1995至2006年中国撤县设区的现象，将其分为主动适应和被动调整两类，分析其时空特征及对城镇化进程的不同影响。
During the speeding process of urbanization in China,turning county into district is a prominent administrative division phenomenon.By collecting all cases from year 1995 to 2006,turning county into district is sorted to two category,namely,the active adaption category and the passive adjustment one,this approach can well reveal its space-time features.The paper points the active adaption category accommodate the inner law of market mechanism and the urbanization process,so it probably forms a virtuous circle.While,the passive adjustment one doesn't abide by the inner law of urbanization process,it may induce a contrary result in practice.
