The reflection on upsurge of building “university and college town”
本文反思了大学城建设热潮，指出大学城发展是高校与城市的积累、融合过程，初期需要大量投资和长期协调，并应与城市和区域整体发展相整合。
In the knowledge-based economy,building “university and college town” is becoming an important mode of city or regional development and getting popular across China.However,the understanding of “university and college town” still needs more attention to be paid.In this article,the author releases his view.First of all,“university and college town”development is a course of “accumulating”,“merging” and “integrating” of universities and institutes into the city instead of simple adding them to.The second,in the initial stage it is not a “cornucopia” but needs more investment and long time interactive coordination.The final point,building “university and college town” is a matter of integration of the town per se with the wholly city and regional development instead of one role involvement.
