Eco civilization that comes to the public consciousness is an important base for ecocities.Public participation is more useful to the decision management of local government,which of course need to pass certain methods and procedures,and let numerous members of the city take part in those public management vitally related to their living environment.The local government should popularize actively the knowledge about ecocity for the residents,and let them understand what is a citizen's legal rights and duties in protecting eco environment,and what actions,that means `active participation' differing from the past `passive invitation',they should take for urban ecosystem protection.
