In the article,the specific characteristics of urbanization in China is more comprehensively summarized and discussed from the views of the historical conditions,the basic national conditions,urbanization processes and the path to urbanization.We believe that the characteristics of the times,such as economic globalization,informatization,knowledge-based economy,and global resource scarcity and environmental pollution constitute the international constraints of the particularity of urbanization in China,and population,resources,stage of development,economic reform,social system and other basic conditions constitute the domestic constraints of the particularity of urbanization in China,and those constraints at home and abroad further determine the specific process and special roads of urbanization in China.
