Construction and Assessment on Urban Ecological & Livable Development Index System
构建了城市生态宜居发展指数体系，用过程-结果二维向量评估中国287个城市，发现多数城市仍处于粗放发展阶段。
With the increasing awareness of ecological environment and sustainable development,and the fact of global market economy expansion,urban ecological livability has become one of the core issues of urban sustainable development.Given this circumstance,the paper proposed and established a system of urban ecological livability development index in order to provide a new assessment method for urban ecological development.By adopting two-dimension vector evaluation structure,the system made a comprehensive and dynamic assessment to urban ecological development from two aspects as process and outcome.To get a full understanding of current situations of urban ecological construction,287 cities in China have been investigated and the regional characteristics on process-outcome vector structure were analyzed. The results indicated that the majority of cities(207,72%) in the third quadrant are still at the stage of extensive mode of development;55 cities(19%) in the second quadrant at the stage of start-up and developing;15 cities(5%) in the first quadrant at the stage of economy transition;the remaining 10 cities(4%) in the fourth quadrant.These above findings are supposed to increase the awareness of local government,experts and the public,and provide the basis of related policy for the makers.
