CONSTRUCTION AND APPLICATION OF INDEX SYSTEM FOR OBJECTIVE ASSESSMENT OF URBAN QUALITY OF LIFE——A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF HANGZHOU AND NANJING
从经济、文化、社会、政治和环境五个维度构建城市生活质量评价体系，用信息熵方法比较杭州和南京的生活质量指数与协调度，发现杭州集中提升、南京扩散提升，但快速提升导致协调度下降。
Starting from the concept and connotation of Urban Quality of Life(UQL),this paper discussed the development and application of a comprehensive evaluation system for UQL using five sub-indicators,i.e.economic,cultural,social,political and environmental qualities of life.The methodology of information entropy was used in a comparative analysis of their UQL indexes and degree of harmony by taking Hangzhou and Nanjing as cases.The results showed that Hangzhou presented a centralized way of upgrading its UQL,while Nanjing resorted to a diffusion approach to enhancing its UQL.They both showed a steady upward trend in raising their UQL.In terms of UQL index,Hangzhou is higher than Nanjing,but the rapid uplift in their quality of life brought a decline in the degree of harmony.Therefore,in the course of UQL improvement,it's necessary for the two cities to pay attention to the problems caused by imbalanced development,and make an alarming mechanism available to prevent the worsening of the situation.
