POSITIVE STUDY ON DETERMINANTS OF REGIONAL ELECTRIC POWER CONSUMPTION
基于2004年中国省级截面数据，分析了经济增长、人口增长、电力价格和产业结构对区域电力需求的影响，发现产业结构调整和电价是主要决定因素。
Taking the cross-sectional data of China’s provincial electric power consumption in 2004 as the measurement variable of electric power demand,using method of cross-section regression and various test indices,the impacts and functional mechanism between economic growth,population growth,electric power prices,industrial structure and regional electric power demand are analyzed and tested.The results show a 1% positive change in economic growth,population growth and industrial structure result in a 0.38%,0.27%,and 1.91% positive change respectively,where as a 1% positive change in electric power prices results in a 4.46% negative change.The results indicates: ①The inherent relationship between electric power consumption,regional economies and population growth does exist;②Industrial structure and electric power prices are the chief factors in deciding the electric power consumption.
