PROGRESS IN CITY TOURISM RESEARCH OVER THE PAST 10 YEARS IN CHINA
分析了1998-2007年间中国核心期刊上329篇城市旅游论文，发现研究数量增长但未形成完整体系，理论研究薄弱，微观研究不足，主要集中在旅游发展、资源利用和形象等方面。
The rapid development of city tourism results in the increasing number of related researches. City tourism has become a hot topic in tourism research. Through the analysis of the 329 (1998-2007) papers of core journals which are searched from CNKI, we can draw the following conclusions. Over the past 10 years, the amount of literatures on city tourism has been increased a lot, but these studies have been very difficult to incorporate a complete system. Although some progresses have been made in theoretical research, it is still a weak. Most research belong to macro or middle scale research, but microscopic study is clearly insufficient.The researches on city tourism mainly concentrate on city tourism development, resource utilization, tourism image and so on. But the researches on impact of the latter phase of the city tourism development are less. In addition, some trends of the subject in the future are brought forward.
