THE NEW DEVELOPMENTS OF RURAL GEOGRAPHY IN THE WESTERN WORLD
介绍了西方乡村地理学在农业地理、乡村社区和乡村家庭三个方面的研究新趋势，以及社会文化、政治经济学等新方法的应用，对中国乡村地理学者有参考价值。
This paper introduces the new research trends of rural geography in the Western World.In recent years,some new characteristics have arisen in the studies on three aspects,that is,agricultural geography,geographies of the rural community and the rural household.Many new approaches,such as social and cultural,political economy,global views and rural regulations,are used to re-examine the rural problems.Meanwhile,some academic debates have been intensely focused on agricultural location theory,rural changes and actor-network theory(ANT).It is crucial for Chinese rural geographers to have an innovative mind on research content,analytical perspectives and study viewpoints to aim at building China's specific rural geography.
