Taking Qinhuangdao as an example to build the suitable city for living,this paper explains the essence of the livable city on the aspects of philosophy,economy,culture,society,ecology,living and planning.It analyzes the advantage of the livable city building in Qinhuangdao and discusses the measures in the scientific planning,infrastructure,industrial adjustment,ecological security and environmental protection based on the characteristics of the actual situation in Qinhuangdao.
