Gender Differences in Formation Mechanism of Citizens’Pro-environmental Behavior Intention
基于海口数据，分析影响男性和女性亲环境行为意向的心理因素，发现女性意向更高，且影响因素存在性别差异，可为针对性环境教育提供参考。
Based on data gathered from Haikou,this research analyses the psychological factors affecting men’and women’s pro-environmental behavior intention respectively.The results shows that women reported higher pro-environmental behavior intention than men.There are gender differences in factors affecting pro-environmental behavior intention.For men,environmental sensitivity,environmental attitude,self-efficacy are predictors to pro-environmental behavior intention;awareness of consequences is a moderator between men’s environmental attitude and pro-environmental behavior intention.Environmental sensitivity,environmental knowledge for action,self-efficacy,awareness of consequences are predictors to women’s pro-environmental behavior intention;environmental knowledge for action is a moderator between women’s environmental sensitivity and pro-environmental behavior intention,environmental attitude and pro-environmental behavior intention.The findings may help policy makers and organizations alike tofine-tune their citizen environmental education programs according to the gender difference.
