CULTURAL TURN: A NEW DIRECTION TO THE STUDY OF ECONOMIC GEOGRAPHY
介绍了西方经济地理学中文化转向的背景、原因及文化与经济的关系，强调经济活动的社会文化嵌入性，并为中国经济地理学的研究议程提出建议。
Since the mid- 1990s, with the reassessment to the content, concepts and approaches of western (political) economic geography, cultural turn has become a new direction to the academic study of western economic geography. This paper introduces briefly the identities of culture and cultural turn in western economic geography, and analyses the backgrounds and causes of this turn. In particular, the paper discusses the relationships of culture and economy and the social - cultural embeddedness of economic activities. At last, some suggestions to the research agendas of cultural turn in Chinese economic geography are proposed.
