Cultural Industry,Innovative Economy and Harmonious Society
研究了地方政府通过文化产业促进经济增长的做法,指出全球化下这类项目常导致城市面貌趋同和社会结构单一,并损害弱势群体,强调中国需在政府调控下结合市场与政策以实现和谐社会。
With the transition from Fordist societies to the post-Fordist counterparts,it is becoming increasingly popular for municipal governments to promoting economic growth through the expansion of cultural industries. The spatially agglomerative feature of such sectors makes it feasible for policy markers to market their own cities as the habitats of cultural amenity via market-based redevelopment projects or planned innovative economy. However, under the context of globalization, such efforts usually end up with the unintended consequence of unanimous physical appearance and monotonic social composition across many cities.More often than not,it is at the cost of working poor in developing countries and disadvantage groups within any given societies. In China,in order to achieve the harmonious society as visualized by the state,it is of vital importance both to combine market forces and policy formulations within the framework of state regulation and to be aware of the welfare impacts of such development.
