THE THOUGHTS AND TECHNOLOGY OF RURAL TOWN PLANNING IN THE DYKE AREAS

First of all，the authors not only set forth the characteristics of rural settlement in the dyke areas form system and scale，pattern and distribution，function and the tendency of rural residential construction，but also analyze its social traditions，characteristics of inhabitants psychology and features of economic development.Then on the basis of pointing out that the complexity and particularity of town planning in the dyke rural areas，the authors lay emphasis upon approaches to several technological essentials of town planning in the dyke areas.At last，discussion is set off from several aspects as follows：①The significance of town planning to development and settlement pattern adjustment of dyke areas；②How to coordinate the relationship between the new district and the old one in the course of town planning；③How to make town planning avail the defendence of traditional urban scene of water country and the preservation of continuity of history and culture；④Thoughts on the relationship between town planning and economic-social sustainable development of the dyke rural areas.
