SPATIO-TEMPORAL DYNAMICS OF CITY-SIZE DISTRIBUTION IN JIANGSU PROVINCE BASED ON BOTH TRADITIONAL STATISTICAL STANDARD AND THE FIFTH NATIONAL CENSUS STATISTICAL STANDARD
利用2000-2006年江苏省城市人口数据，对比传统统计标准与第五次人口普查标准，分析城市规模分布的等级结构、首位度、基尼系数和分形特征，发现城市体系符合位序-规模分布但不遵循齐普夫模型，且不同统计标准对分布有显著影响。
The paper collected the data of urban population from 2000 to 2006 for each city in the Jiangsu province,and analyzed the characters of the evolution of the urban size structure by analyzing the hierarchical size structure,urban primacy indices,the Gennich coefficient model the fractal feature and the spatial evolution.After comparing and calculating the data of urban population based on both traditional statistical standard and the fifth national census statistical standard.This paper investigates the spatio-temporal dynamics of city-size distribution in Jiangsu province.First,the urban system in Jiangsu province meets rank-size distribution but does not follow Zipf model,the city is a mature organization system,and the concentration distribution of urban size tends to be reduced and balanced level tend to be enhanced;second,the regional differences in urban GNI index,and that,southern Jiangsu is much higher than northern Jiangsu,the Suzhong is the lowest.Third,different statistical standards influence the city-size distribution deeply.Compared with traditional statistical standard,the fifth national census statistical standard can reflect the size distribution of the evolution of urban overall trends.Further studies show that economic factors and city size have a linear correlation relationship.Further more,the region division adjustment and the statistical standard are the key factors to the city size changing.
