Empirical Analysis on the Agricultural Technical Efficiency of Hunan Wuling Mountain Area
利用2003-2012年湖南武陵山区37个县的面板数据,通过随机前沿生产函数测算农业技术效率,发现该地区效率整体不高且区域差异显著,干旱等自然灾害有负面影响,灌溉、水库和生物防治与农业发展需求不匹配。
Wuling mountain area is the first pilot area of our country's promoting poverty alleviation comprehensively in contiguous poor areas, where the main poverty counties of Hunan province are located,Using the panel data of the outinput in the 37 Counties(cities)from 2003 to 2012, the paper computes and analyzes the agriculture technical efficiency of Hunan Wuling mountain by constructing the function model on Stochastic Frontier Production.The result shows that, the average technical efficiency of this area is not very high in general, and significant differences in technical efficiency exist among different regions,environmental factorshave certain effects on efficiency, The drought has a significant negative impact on the efficiency among all natural calamities, irrigation engineering、the construction of the reservoir and biological control did not match with the actual requirement of agricultural development in some reagion. So when we maintain the agricultural infrastructure construction scientificity and rationality, the popularization rate of education and urbanization should also be taken into consideration to promote the development of agriculture in contiguous poor areas.
