The Impact of Institutional Change to the Economic Growth of Chinese Cities in Transition Period
本文实证分析了制度变迁对中国城市经济增长的影响，发现制度变迁在空间和不同等级城市间存在显著差异，同时资本投资始终是城市发展的重要因素。
Through the reform,we witness the rapid growth of urban economy in China.It is undeniable the fact that institutional change is one of the most important reason for Chinese urban economic development.There is a rapid growth of the literature on the impact of institutional change to Chinese cities since the reform.However,the main focus of Chinese scholars'study in this field is on the theoretic analysis.In this paper,the authors do an empirical analysis on the impact of institutional change to the economic growth of Chinese cities.The results show that:Institutional change not only makes difference in space,but also causes significant differences in different level cities.On the other hand,the capital investment always plays an important role in development of Chinese cities.
