Abstract

Large amount of population, especially temporary population migrate in The Pearl River Delta in 1990'. Not only pushed quickly population growth and urbanization increase, changed clearly population distribution, but also decreased population sex ratio, delayed the speed of population aging and the increase rate of population education level with university and college. Though the increase rate of total population is the highest in the whole country, the average increase rate of GDP in Guangdong, which is centraled with The Pearl River delta, is lower than that of some other provinces or cities in the east and central parts of China. This means that the quick development of labor accumulated industry is the main reason of the fast increase of migrants. Huge amount of migrants has not only enlarged the pressure to social and nature environment, also has made the adjustment of industry structure more difficult. This paper suggests that through enhancing the guide of industrial policy and regional policy, pushing the speed of urban and rural labour market merge together, strenghtioning the adjustment and control to the engagement and employment of enterprices, and perfecting social secure system, and as a result to proceed the arise of industrial structure and technical structure, and to narrow regional disparity.
