Smart growth is a new concept of city development in America.Using the basic contents and characteristics of smart growth as reference,this paper advocates the mode of intensive town space,expatiates the reasons and suggestions on the pattern of intensive growth as regard to the problems existing in utilizing town space of Zhejiang province.
