THE EFFECTS OF AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRIALIZATION ON FARMER'S INCOME AND AGRICULTURAL HOUSEHOLD BEHAVIOR ——A CASE STUDY IN LONGKOU, SHANDONG
基于山东龙口农户调查数据,分析了农业产业化对农民收入和农户行为的影响,发现农业仍是收入主因,但产业化后农业比较效益仍低于非农产业。
Agricultural industrialization is the hotspot of Chinese agriculture development. But there is seldom quantitative analysis on effects of agricultural industrialization on agricultural, rural and farmer's problems. Based on the agricultural household survey and statistic date in Longkou city of Shandong province, this paper analyzed the effects of agricultural industrialization on farmer's income and agricultural household behavior. The correlation indexes between per capita net income of farmers and rural economic development show that agriculture still is the most important factor to farmer's net income, next is rural industry and rural tertiary industry which haven't notably relationship with farmer's net income. This result should owe to advanced agricultural industrialization in Longkou city. Furthermore, according to the farm household survey date performed in Zhuyouguan town, the paper analyzed the behavior characteristics of farm household. The results show that most of laborers working on agriculture jobs are older and most younger laborers work on non-agriculture job, especially those young women; some families employed laborers for their farm activity, but at the same time, part of their family members do non-farm job. These results imply that the comparative benefit of agriculture is still lower than non-agriculture after agricultural industrialization, but agricultural industrialization can delay farmer's non-agriculture process in some degree.
