GEOGRAPHICAL AND INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTION AND VALUE CHARACTERISTICS OF WORLD INDUSTRIAL HERITAGES: STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF INDUSTRIAL HERITAGES INSCRIBED IN WORLD HERITAGE LIST
统计分析了世界遗产名录中前50项工业遗产的分布特征,发现其在建造时期、地理区域和产业类型上缺乏平衡,多数位于欧洲发达地区,以采矿、制造和运输业为主,且技术价值突出,为中国工业遗产保护提供参考。
In the present study,the distribution of the first 50 World Industrial Heritages inscribed in the World Heritage List was analyzed using statistical method.In general,the distribution of the Heritages in the List lacks balance in historical phases when they were built,in the geographical areas of the world that were represented,and in the types of inscribed properties.From the temporal aspect,more properties from contemporary era were inscribed in the list than those from ancient era were.From the geographical aspect,the vast majority of the heritages are located in developed regions of the world,notably in Europe.In terms of industry types,most of the industrial heritages fall in the categories of mining,manufacturing,and transportation industries.From the aspect of selection criteria,the inscribed heritages usually have more technology value.Through the study on the characteristics and the development trend of the world industrial heritages,this paper can provide significant guidance for protection of Chinese industrial heritages and improve the understanding of identification,evaluation and reuse of Chinese industrial heritages.
