Activity Space of Suburban Mega-Community Residents——Evidence from Beijing Household Activity-Diary Survey Data
基于2007年北京家庭活动日志调查数据，利用GIS比较巨型社区与普通社区，分析居民在工作、购物、休闲等活动中的时空路径模式，探讨郊区物理空间对活动空间和生活模式的影响。
This paper,based on data from a 2007 household Activity-Diary Survey in Beijing,focuses on the increasing Mega-Community in suburban areas and explores Mega-Community residents′ activity space and their daily time-space path pattern using GIS by comparing the Mega-Community with normal communities.It tries to develop possible measurement approaches to the complex suburban activity system.By summarizing the highly diversified activity spaces′ characters for distinct activities including working,shopping and leisure,this paper analyzes how this particular suburban physical space influences residents′ activity space and life pattern and explores the abstract activity pattern for Mega-Community residents.Through these analyses we try to comprehend the social meaning of living in Mega-Community for residents,the role it plays in urban spatial structure and the problem it introduces,looking forward to providing basis for pragmatic development policy for Mega-Community and leading to a higher quality of life for residents.
