Empirical Analysis on the Mechanism of How Urbanization Drives Economic Growth in Fujian Province
基于2000-2009年数据，实证检验了城市化通过农村劳动力转移、扩大城市人口、刺激消费和增加固定资产投资来驱动福建省经济增长的机制。
With the formal approval of development plan for the city agglomeration at the west coast of the Taiwan Strait,this paper presents the mechanism hypotheses of how urbanization drives economic growth in Fujian province.The empirical test is conducted based on the data from 2000 to 2009.The results show that urbanization has already been the important engine of driving economic growth in Fujian province.Accelerating rural labor transfer,enlarging urban population,stimulating urban consumption and increasing investment in fixed assets are the main urbanization factors to promote regional economic growth.
