ON THE SUPPLY-DEMAND RELATIONSHIP OF URBAN LAND IN CHONGQING MUNICIPALITY
分析了重庆市城市土地供给受耕地保护和自然条件限制而能力有限，同时因人口增长和经济发展导致需求旺盛，指出未来供需矛盾将加剧，并提出了对策建议。
The supply-demand contradiction in urban landuse has been an important problem in an urban developing in China .In this paper, the supply condition of urban landuse is analyzed firstly according to the both quantity and quality of urban landuse supply in Chongqing. The quantity of urban landuse supply in Chongqing is limited because the cultivated land protection is one of the national basic policies in China while cultivated land is an important part in supply of urban landuse in Chongqing. The quality of urban landuse is not good by the limitation of natural condition, such as mountains, hills and valleys, in the urban districts in Chongqing. There are many slopes and few flat lands, many gullies and small plots, many difficult building lands and few suitable building lands, which resulted in that an amount of land for the construction leveled by engineering measures is limited. So, the supply capability of urban landuse is considerably limited in Chongqing. Secondly, the demand condition of urban landuse in Chongqing is analyzed in this paper. Considering the continuous increase in urban population and the gradual improvement in the standard of urban per capita land in the future, urban landuse will be in great demand. Based on the analyses of the trend of the demand for urban landuse in the future according to the increase of the urban GDP, major construction projects and the improvement in the standard of urban per capita land, the following conclusions can be drawn: the supply capability of urban landuse is considerably limited while the urban landuse is in great demand in Chongqing. Therefore, the supply-demand contradiction in urban landuse will become a momentous problem with the development of economy and society in Chongqing municipality in the future. In order to reasonably use and protect land resources, and provide a support and insurance of land for the economic development in Chongqing municipality, authors propound countermeasures and propositions.
