RESEARCH ON A CRITERIA SYSTEM OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FOR JIANGSU PROVINCE
为江苏省构建了包含4个领域、3个方面、18个组和47个指标的可持续发展评价体系，并通过因子分析比较了省内13个地级市的可持续发展综合能力，发现整体能力仍较弱。
Jiangsu is one of the fastest developing provinces in China, and it is also a representative area in the aspects of natural surroundings, economic and social development in China. So it is urgent, also important to establish a criteria system of sustainable development for Jiangsu Province. By reviewing the relative researches on criteria system of sustainable development in our country and abroad, based on the particular background of Jiangsu province, the paper proposes some suggestions for stablishing the criteria system of sustainable development of Jiangsu province, and also brings out five basic principles. Then the paper establishes the criteria system of sustainable development for Jiangsu province. The criteria system of sustainable development for Jiangsu province consists of 4 estates, 3 kinks, 18 groups and 47 criteria. 3 kinks include economy, society, resource and environment. Each criterion is chosen carefully, which is hoped to represent the real conditions of the sustainable development in Jiangsu province. By factor analysis, the paper compares the comprehensive forces of sustainable development of 13 municipalities in Jiangsu province. The consequence shows that the ability of sustainable development in Jiangsu province is still weak, and needed to be strengthened. According to the result of the assessment, it is easily to be found that four distinct groups may be divided. From the consequence, we can say that the criteria system of sustainable development is suitable for Jiangsu province.
