ON LAKE-TOURISM DEVELOPMENT MODLES AND TENDENCY IN THE 21th CENTURY

Lake is one of the most valuable tourism attractions because of their vivid natural landscape, high quality environment and cultural features. On the base of the analysis of the lake tourism development operations in both China and other countries, the article tries to find out some typical models and successful practice of lake tourism development. After the study of the general trends of the tourists' demands, the article points out three major tendency of future development of lake tourism. The first one is that environment protection of the lake is critical for lake tourism development. The second is lake tourism should pay most attention to those who travel for spending their holidays. The last one is that lake tourism should attach themselves with the agriculture sightseeing.
