The Spatial Pattern of Quality of Urban Life in Jiangsu Province on County Scale and Its Economic Mechanism
研究了江苏省县域城市生活质量的空间差异，发现南高北低、苏锡常地区高值集聚，并指出其取决于区域经济发展水平，对地方政府规划有参考价值。
This paper discussed the evaluation index system and the indicator weight firstly, and then analyzed the spatial differentiation pattern of quality of urban life in Jiangsu province at county level, and explored the economic cause. The results showed that the quality of urban life in Jiangsu province taked on the characteristic as follow: the south is high,low in the north, high and low quality distributed in the two parts separately on the whole; sub indicators presented different features of spatial differentiation pattern; meanwhile high- high concentration located in Su-Xi-Chang area, lowlow concentration lied in northeast coast area and high- low concentration in Nanjing area. The quality of urban life depends on the regional economic development level under the influence of current China's political and economic system, showing that the quality of urban life is relatively high in the economically developed areas generally. Local government should increase the expenditures related to the improvement of urban life quality in the future city development and planning, in order to achieve the people-oriented goal.
