The research on the urban group in Gansu Corridor based on the fractal theory
用分形方法研究甘肃走廊城市群的规模分布和空间分布，发现其呈分形结构，规模结构松散、首位城市偏小、中间城镇缺失，空间分布沿兰新铁路和312国道呈线性，空间相互作用弱。
Taking urban group in Gansu Corridor, this article studies the size distribution and space distribution of urban group in the Western China by the fractal method. The conclusion shows that the distributions take on fractal structure.(1) The size-scale structure is loose; the law of the primate city is too small; the middle town is absent; (2) The space distribution is linear, and the mostly small citiestowns lie on a geographic element which is the Lanxin Railway and 312 National Artery; the capacity of spatial interaction is weak. At last the author proposes some advice for advancing structure of the urban system based on studying result Such as:building the urban group developing union of Gansun Corridor and enlarging the corporation between them;to establish the regional central city through the reasonable selection.
