Comprehensive Evaluation of Urban Compactness and Its Influencing Factors:Case of the Cities along Longhai-Lanxin-Beijiang Railway
基于紧凑城市理念，构建了包含空间紧凑、结构合理和高效三个方面的评价体系，对陇海-兰新-北疆铁路沿线40个城市的紧凑度进行主成分分析并分类，发现城市紧凑度从超大城市到小城市依次递减，经济增长弹性、人口密度等是主要影响因素。
According to the basic concept of compact city,this paper has built a comprehensive evaluation index system for urban compactness from three aspects which includes compactness of urban space,reasonable structure and high efficiency.Based on the principal component analysis and calculation of urban compactness comprehensive scores of the 40 cities along Longhai-Lanxin-Beijiang railway in 2009 deviding into four classes such as compact,relatively compact,less compact and non-compact.Overall,the level of urban compactness successively degrades in that order of supercities,big cities,medium-sized cities and small cities.The paper also analyzed the main influence factors on urban compactness by multiple linear regression model and drew that the chief influence factor on urban compactness is economic growth elasticity,population density,the construction of urban infrastructure facilities,compactness of cities morphology and so on.In addition,the main influence factors on urban compactness of different scale cities are different.
