THEORETICAL MECHANISM AND EMPIRICAL STUDY ABOUT THE INFLUENCE OF CITY COMPACTNESS ON ENERGY CONSUMPTION
研究城市紧凑度与能源消耗的关系，通过截面和面板数据计量分析发现，城市越紧凑能源消耗越低，经济增长是能耗增加的主因。
Along with urbanization in China,the amount of energy consumption is rising.Different city spatial structure causes the difference of energy efficiency.This paper illustrates the correlation mechanism between city compactness and energy consumption,then econometrical analysis are carried out by cross-section data and panel data.Results show that more compact city causes lower energy consumption,economic growth is a main reason of energy consumption increase.In the end,some suggestions are pointed out.
