On the Relationship Between the Changes of Economic Spatial Pattern and Evolutions of Income Gap in China in Recent Years

This paper discusses the calculation methods of Location-Gini-Coefficient and Income-Gini-Coefficient,tests the changes of economic activity spatial pattern in Chinese mainland in recent years,researches on the calculation methods about the mixed sample overall income Gini-coefficient,and analyses the income disparity variation characteristics in Chinese mainland from 2002 to 2010.We find the Location-Gini-Coefficient increasing monotonically before 2006 and decreasing monotonically after 2006,it means the inflexion point of agglomeration and diffusion emerged in 2006.The Income-Gini-Coefficient shows fluctuant increasing feature in 2002~2010.The main conclusions include that the economic spatial pattern changes have lag-effects on the income disparity evolutions,and mitigating the income disparities appear more pressing compared to the regional economic gaps.
