The Measurement of Chinese Provincial Tourism Developing Efficiency and Its Spatio-Temporal Evolution
基于1997-2011年中国大陆省际数据，用改进DEA方法测度旅游效率，结合空间统计方法分析其时空演化规律，发现效率波动上升、增长模式从粗放向集约转型，热点区域分布存在差异。
Taking the data from 1997 to 2011 in the Mainland for example, firstly, it uses the modified DEA method to measure the provincial tourism efficiency; then, together with the spatial statistical analysis such as Getis-Ord Gi*, gravity center et al, it analyzes the regulation about spatio- temporal evolution of tourism efficiency. The results show that: the efficiency of each item has risen in fluctuation from 1997 to 2011; generally speaking, it has made some progress, but still needs further improvement. At the present stage, the comprehensive efficiency of provincial tourism is alternately driven by scale efficiency and pure technology efficiency, and the growth pattern of tourism is in the transition stage from extensiveness to intensiveness. The hot- spots of comprehensive efficiency and pure technology efficiency are generally located in the East and Middle areas; while the hot- spots of scale efficiency present the opposite spatial distribution,mainly in the West from 1997 to 2011. Through the analysis of gravity center, it found that the gravity center of comprehensive efficiency and pure technology has shifted to the northwest, while the gravity center of scale efficiency has shifted to southeast. We should avoid only increasing the amount of tourism resources; we should advocate intensive management, increase investment in the capital, technology and talent in tourism development in the future in order to increase the developing efficiency of tourism.
