SSM Space Model and Its Application to the Manufacturing Development of Pearl River Delta
运用空间偏离份额法分析1995-2009年珠三角城市制造业演变，发现东莞、广州、中山、深圳、珠海等城市受邻市影响及竞争力变化的不同模式。
On the basis of summarizing the quantitative research of spatial interaction at home and abroad,this paper uses the spatial shift-share method to analyze the evolution of manufacturing industry of Pearl River Delta cities from 1995 to 2009,the result shows that: from 1995 to 2009,manufacturing development of Dongguan was from positively to negatively influenced by neighboring cities,and its competitiveness evolved into recession;the manufacturing industry of Guangzhou and Zhongshan was from negatively to positively influenced by neighboring cities,but Guangzhou failed to make use of the positive effects,thus the development of its manufacturing competitiveness was put at a competitive disadvantage position;Shenzhen and Zhuhai’manufacturing development were from positively to negatively influenced by neighboring cities,but compared to neighboring cities,both of them have shown the manufacturing competitive advantage;the situations of Jiangmen and Zhaoqing were the same as Guangzhou.
