CARRYING CAPACITY OF RESOURCES AND PROBLEMS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN PEARL RIVER DRAINAGE AREA
计算了1986至2002年珠江流域的土地、经济及综合资源承载力，发现经济资源是主要支撑，但综合承载力长期超载，且上中下游差异显著，上游生态恶化、下游人地矛盾突出，制约可持续发展。
This paper uses methods of relative carrying capacity of resources. The relative carrying capacity of land resources, relative carrying capacity of economic resources and synthetic carrying capacity of resources of Pearl River drainage area have been calculated from 1986 to 2002. Thus conclusions were drawn: ①The economic resources is the principal resources to support population and the synthetic carrying capacity has been the state of overload from 1986 to 2002.②The relative carrying capacity is very different in this region, the synthetic carrying capacity of Guangdong has been the state of relative enough from 1986 to 2002;the synthetic carrying capacity of Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi has been the state of over load from 1986 to 2002. The natural resources is the principal resource of the middle resource and upper reaches of Pearl River drainage area. The economic resources is the principal resource in lower reaches of Pearl River drainage area.③The ecologic environment of upper reaches has become bad and the contradiction between human and environment system so lower reaches becomes various, which are the main problems its way to wards the sustainable development direction.④It is very important to construct Pearl River drainage area economic belt.
