At a stage of fast development,our urban transportation is facing many difficulties and challenges.Although transit priority has gradually been consensus among public,it largely remains on the conceptual level,with the actual practices and implements still being explored.In Hong Kong,practical transit priority has solved the urban transportation predicament and sustained the socio-economic development.By analyzing the successful experience of Hong Kong's transit system and considering the current status of our transit system,the ideas of building transit culture,improving transit status,realizing people-oriented transit and connecting life with transit are the key factors in China's new round of urban transport development.
