ON THE TRANSCENTURY DEVELOPMENT ORIENTATION AND THE SUPERORITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES OF THE SOCIAL AND THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES IN TANGSHAN CITY
基于实地调研，本文明确了唐山市跨世纪发展的战略定位，即环渤海经济核心区的重要组成部分和华北主要经贸中心之一，并分析了其优势、机遇与挑战。
Based on the on-the-spot investigation, this paper reaches a conclusion about the strategic orientation for the transcentury social and economic development in Tangshan City: it is an important part of the economic core zone around the Bo Hai and one of the main economic and trade centers in the North China, it is also the core city in the East Hebei Province. Besides, this paper discusses the fundamental functions and strategic superorities of the Tangshan City, the opportunities and challenges with which Tangshan City will be confronted during its development are also discussed.
