Knowledge Factor in the Selection of Organizational Modes for Inter-firm R&D Cooperation
研究了知识的可编码性、互动性、生命周期和范围四个因素如何影响企业间研发合作选择合资企业或契约协议两种组织模式，帮助管理者理解知识特征对合作形式的影响。
Knowledge is an important factor for the use of different organizational modes of inter-firm RD cooperation,which can be used to overcome the opportunism and moral hazard in the transaction.It aims to explain the four factors of knowledge(codifiability,interaction,life cycle,and scope) and their influences on the choice of the two organizational modes-Joint Ventures(JV) and Contractual Agreements(CA).When the knowledge is codified, complementary and has a narrow scope,the organizational form-CA is preferred; when the knowledge is non-codified,synergistic and has a wide scope,the organizational form-JZ is preferred.During the different life cycle stage of the knowledge,the use of the JV is appeared to be stable and the use of CA is changed considerably.
