Metropolitanization and the Mechanisms of Spatial Labor Division——and Some Discussion on Spatial Policies in China's Urbanization
基于报酬递增思想，探讨了大都市化的经济机制，即劳动分工与经济活动空间集聚的相互作用，并分析了中国城市化空间政策，建议放松城市规模控制、鼓励大都市化。
Metropolitanization is a spatial phenomenon occurred when the urbanization ratio rose to a certain level. Based on the economic idea of increasing returns, this paper discussed the economic mechanism of metropolitanization, which are interaction among labor division and the spatial agglomeration of economic activities. The paper also made some analysis on China's spatial policies about urbanization. The paper suggested that weakening control extent on urban scale, encouraging metropolitanization by regulation on spatial structure should be future direction of spatial policies.
