To Realize a City from Demographic Space: a Case Study of Wuhan
基于人口普查数据和GIS工具，分析了武汉市人口迁移与分布的空间特征，发现省际人口关系突出、郊区化伴随人口增长集中和短距离迁移，以及与东部大城市相比的异常现象。
To analyze a city from population-space provides a good viewpoint of understanding urban transition in contemporary China.In this paper,based on data of population census and the tools of GIS,the authors analyze the spatial characteristics of migration and distribution of Population in Wuhan.The authors find that the feature of inter-province population relation is outstanding,that suburbanization happens under the condition that the areas which gain fast population growth centralize and population move not very far.Comparing with the eastern large cities,as for population growth of the old city and distribution of external population,illegitimacy exists.It should be pointed out that such illegitimacy is useful to observe Wuhan.
