URBAN FUNCTIONAL STRUCTURE TRANSFORMATION OF THE CENTRAL URBAN AGGLOMERATION IN LIAONING PROVINCE
改进了区位商方法，以辽宁省中部城市群为例，分析1996至2004年城市功能结构转型，发现重工业和制造业特征明显，核心城市沈阳的制造与服务功能日益突出。
In this paper,the location quotient and its extension are summarized,and then a revised location quotient is put forward.In the empirical study,the central urban agglomeration in Liaoning province(CUAL) is chosen as a case to study its urban functional structure and its transformation from 1996 to 2004.The research results indicate that urban function of the CUAL has a clear characteristic of heavy industries and manufacturing industry;the function of core city,Shenyang,manufacturing and servicing,are becoming clearer than before;the modern serving industries of core city representing by the finance,scientific research,high education and so on,has a higher level than other city.
