RESEARCH ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY OF BAIYIN CITY IN VIEW OF LANZHOU-BAIYIN METROPOLITAN AREA

Constructing Lanzhou-Baiyin metropolitan area is reshaping the economic geography of Gansu,it is the area innovation on development strategy to combine the construction of metropolitan area and the transformation of resourse-exhaused city.The construction of Lanzhou-Baiyin metropolitan area will not only become a booster for regional economic development in Gansu,but also it will inject new vitality into Baiyin city which is as the second core city of the metropolitan area and offer new opportunity for this city's transformation.Over the Baiyin city's transformation of the status quo and problem analysis,the writer point out that baiyin city should try to change the development concept and integrate itself into the Lanzhou urban economic circle as early as possible,focus on strategic innovation actively,Through the linkage of industry,town planning,ecology and administrative system to implement new type industrialization,build modern agriculture zone,carry on city reengineering,create ecological civilization and take the road of administrative integration to complete the transformation,and step onto a virtuous path of sustainable development gradually.According to the metropolitan area,the view about the resource-exhaused city's transformation in this article has helpful reference to other resource cities that are or are to be in transformation.
