Abstract

With the aid of theories and research findings which advanced by both home and foreign scholars,this paper analysis the harmony degree between urbanization and eco-environment in Southern Xinjiang,which is a typically underdeveloped area in China,by the supporting of the fuzzy mathematics.Our urbanization and eco-environment harmony degree analysis demonstrates that,except the harmony degree of Korla city is belonging to harmony level,that of other four cities is belong to un-harmony level.Through a series of spatio-temporal analyses,this study illustrates that,the harmony degree between urbanization and eco-environment has a significant comprehensive relationship with the urbanization level of each city.Along with the increase of non-agricultural population in each city,the harmony degree between urbanization and eco-environment shows U type curve,which is decreasing first and then increasing gradually.
