The concept of smart city,whose characteristics are more through perception,wider interoperability,more intelligence,was proposed by IBM in 2008 originally.Smart city whose essence is looking for new economic growth point after the financial crisis become the world′ s largest cities' major strategic to propel economic development approaches to change,promote industrial upgrade and revitalize the economy.This paper explains the origin,meaning,domestic and international developments of smart city,focusing on smart city′s significant impact for future city development from many aspects including city management,city infrastructure,technology and industry development of Internet of Things and smart lifestyle.
